About the museum
The University of Tartu invites everyone with their family to the museum on the first Sunday of Advent, 27 November, at 15:00.
The University of Tartu Museum, the Old Observatory and the University of Tartu Art Museum are open all year round, in three historical locations in the centre of Tartu.
In the Old Observatory you can explore the history of Estonian astronomy, admire the once best telescope in the world and enjoy the view from the balcony.

The University of Tartu Museum is over two hundred years old. During this time, museums in the university have appeared and disappeared, but the main goals have remained unchanged.
