Renovations at the University of Tartu Art Museum and exiting tours of the main building of the university

This summer the exhibition halls of the University of Tartu Art Museum are closed for renovation from 1st June to 2nd September 2018 but during this time we welcome you to discover the historical rooms of the main building of the University of Tartu Mon-Sat from 10 to 18.

Tickets (4 eur/3 eur) to a guided tour of the mysterious student lock-up, the amazing assembly hall and the historical auditoriums are available every full hour at the information desk of the university (Ülikooli 18, room 101). The half-an-hour tour will start 15 minutes past (10:15, 11:15, 12:15, 13:15, 14:15, 15:15, 16:15 and 17:15).

The tour will be in English or in Estonian depending on the people who have arrived at a certain time.

You can also order longer and more in-depth tours of the main building of the University of Tartu in Estonian, English, German, Russian and Finnish (kunstimuuseum@ut.ee; 737 5384; 737 5385). The tour will last 60-minutes and will introduce the history and modern day of the university, the student lock-up, assembly hall and historical classrooms.
