The outdoor exhibition introduces different types of asteroids, ways they could impact Earth, and how we can protect ourselves from them.
“From time to time, articles appear in the media (and sometimes even in the news) about a specific asteroid that is approaching Earth. Usually, these asteroids do not pose a real threat to our planet, but it is wise to remain vigilant. This exhibition explains what asteroids are, how they are monitored, and what would happen if a large asteroid were to head towards Earth.”
The asteroid exhibition was created in cooperation between the University of Tartu Museum and the Estonian Research Council. The exhibition will remain open to visitors until spring 2026.
