Discover the story of the university and the city of Tartu

University of Tartu Museum preserves the academic heritage of the university, educates and enlightens the young and old alike, and tells the story of the university as well as the story of Tartu, the history of world science and art in a thrilling way.

Museums are located in three very special places in the centre of Tartu: the reconstructed former cathedral and later university library on Toome Hill, the main building of the university, and the Old Observatory.
