The University of Tartu Museum’s holiday opening hours

Planning a museum visit in December? You’re very welcome—but please note that our opening hours are slightly different during the holiday season.

The University of Tartu Museum in the cathedral on Toome Hill , the University of Tartu Art Museum, and the Tartu Observatory will be open on 27–28 December. The museums will be closed on 22–26 December, 29–31 December, and on New Year’s Day, 1 January 2026.

On other days, the museums are open as usual:

• University of Tartu Museum in the cathedral on Toome Hill : Wed–Sun, 11:00–17:00
• University of Tartu Art Museum: Wed–Sun, 11:00–17:00
• Tartu Observatory: Sat–Sun, 11:00–17:00
