The language course is funded by the measure "Creation and Offering of Educational Programs in Museums and Libraries" (reference number 295334), and the course topics are guided by the theme year "Estonian Book 500".
The meetings take place a total of fourteen times, amounting to 56 academic hours.
Principles for creating and conducting educational programs:
We use simpler Estonian in the programs.
When preparing and delivering the programs, we follow culturally sensitive teaching principles to introduce Estonian language and culture through valuing the home cultures of people from different cultural backgrounds (for example, incorporating folkloric elements such as proverbs).
Interactive tasks are used in the educational programs, actively involving participants in learning.
We encourage active communication among learners.
We prepare and distribute worksheets and support materials that assist both content acquisition and language learning.
Before each meeting, we send vocabulary related to the topic and, when possible, recommendations for additional materials (video or audio materials, reading materials, web links).
The project is funded by the Social Fund+ project 2021-2027.4.07.23-00 under the public procurement "Creation and Offering of Educational Programs in Museums and Libraries," reference number 295334, contract no. 6.2-4/2025/119-1. The Project is funded by European Union.
